Daikon root [白萝卜] is a root type of vegetable largely grown in Asia and used in many Chinese cooking, because of its amazing benefits. For example. It has high level of vitamin C which helps production of white blood cells and helps to speed up healing in the body. Beside being rich in vitamins, it is also used to promote stronger immune system, improved digestion and detoxification of the body.

Ingredients
Pork spare ribs | 300-350 grams (You can choose to use Chicken too) |
Daikon | 1 medium sized, peeled and cut into chunks |
Carrot | 1 carrot, peeled and cut into chunks |
Dried scallops | 5-6 pieces soaked till soften |
Dried Honey date | 1 piece |
Ginger | 1 small knob thin-sliced |
Dried cuttlefish | 1 large piece or about 50g (optional) |
5 steps to becoming stronger
- Prepare the daikon and carrot, (peeled and cut into chunks)
- Rinse the ingredients
- Blanch the pork to get rid of impurities.
- Add all the ingredients into the slow-cooker (3hrs) or soup-pot (30-45mins)
- Add salt for taste
